History of the Lyceum
Cherkasy Lyceum - is a modern educational institution with a rich history that has repeatedly become the heart of change and development in the community.
Our story began on 13 September 1978 - It was on this day that Cherkasy General Secondary School was opened in the forest of Prysamarsky Bor, in the military town of Cherkaske. Since then, the school has become a centre of education, cohesion and formation for many generations of students.
The next stage of development took place 24 October 2003 - the first stage of the new building was opened. This became possible thanks to the support of the Prisamarsk railway. The school has 11 new classrooms, a teacher's room, a library, administration offices, and a methodology room. The new premises have created comfortable conditions for teaching and professional development of teachers.
11 April 2008 the school celebrated another important event - the opening of the second stage of the new building. With the support of the regional council and the regional state administration, a modern educational complex was built: a language room, chemistry, physics, computer science classrooms, cosy workshops, sports and games rooms, a dining room, a new medical room, and a spacious library. This provided even more opportunities for the development of students and the entire teaching staff.
Today, Cherkasy Lyceum is a space for learning, creativity and self-development. We are proud of our history and confidently move forward, creating a better future for every child!
